How It Works
AnchorHost is not a platform you sign up for.
It’s a service relationship with a clearly defined process.
This page explains exactly how that process works.
Step 1: Intake
You start by filling out a short intake form.
We ask about:
- What your product does
- Where it’s currently running (if anywhere)
- Your database and storage needs
- Your tolerance for downtime
- Any regulatory or compliance concerns
This is not a sales form. It’s a technical discovery form.
If your product is not a good fit for Haven, we’ll tell you early and clearly.
Step 2: Review & Fit Check
After intake, we review your submission manually.
We look for:
- Reasonable architecture
- Clear ownership of the application
- A deployment model we can support long-term
- Alignment with our operating philosophy
If we believe we can operate your infrastructure safely and responsibly, we’ll confirm next steps.
If not, we’ll explain why and, when possible, point you in a better direction.
Step 3: Environment Build
Once accepted, we build your Haven environment.
This includes:
- Isolated infrastructure
- Production-grade backups
- Monitoring and alerting
- Clear documentation of what’s running and where
We favor boring, well-understood components over novelty.
Every environment is built so that:
- Data loss is unlikely
- Recovery is predictable
- Changes are controlled
Step 4: Migration (If Applicable)
If you are migrating an existing product, we follow a conservative migration process.
In most cases:
- We perform an initial data sync
- Your application is placed into maintenance or read-only mode
- A final sync is completed
- DNS is updated
- We verify functionality before traffic is restored
Downtime is minimized, but never hidden.
We will always tell you:
- When writes are paused
- What is being synced
- When cutover happens
No surprise switches.
Step 5: Go Live
Once live, your environment is monitored and operated by us.
We handle:
- Infrastructure maintenance
- Updates to the hosting layer
- Backups and recovery testing
- Incident response
You continue to own:
- Your application code
- Your customer data
- Product decisions
Clear ownership prevents confusion later.
What This Is Not For
AnchorHost and Haven are not a good fit if you want:
- Root access to production
- Frequent infrastructure experiments
- DIY cloud dashboards
- “Cheap” hosting above all else
- Hands-off automation with no human oversight
We optimize for stability, not flexibility.
What This Is For
Haven is a good fit if you want:
- Infrastructure you don’t have to think about daily
- Clear communication during changes
- Conservative operational decisions
- A human on the other end when something goes wrong
If that sounds right, the next step is simple.
